Mike Iacopis father settled in Pescadero in 1939 from Italy. He took up farming and in 1962 Mike began his own farming career with 200 acres in Half Moon Bay. In 1979 they moved the farm to its current 165-acre site. They also have a unique location in Half Moon Bay - between airport landing strips!
They're best known for their fresh shelling and dry bean varieties including Italian Butter, cranberry, borlotti, gigante and cannelini. They also grow a wide assortment of seasonal vegetables including fava beans, Blue Lake and Romano beans, artichokes, English peas, sugar snap peas, and more.
They used to grow produce mostly for wholesale markets but profits were low, so they began to sell directly to consumers at farmers' markets, where they love talking with customers. Theyre now in their third generation of family farming.
