In 1976 Susan and Stan Devoto moved from El Cerrito to the quiet hills of Sonoma County. It was there in western Sebastopol the couple started farming microgreens on an old apple orchard. Soon enough, Susan and Stan developed a long-lasting love for the cultivation of apples and flowers.
A few years down the road Susan and Stan bought their homestead property and decided to realize their love for farming by planting 20 acres of heirloom apples and specialty cut flowers. Over 30 years later, after welcoming three daughters into the world and losing Susan to cancer, Stan now farms over 80 varieties of heirloom apples, specialty cut flowers, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes on five different properties throughout the county.
