Companion Farms

This is a small urban farm run by two friends who are dedicated to growing the best certified organic microgreens, sprouts and edible flowers in the greater Sacramento area. Their goal is to expand their farming capabilities and be able to offer more produce to the community.

The original story behind Companion Farms began many years ago with Jose Perez's grandfather Buddy who was diagnosed with cancer. Buddy began searching for various foods with anti-cancer fighting compounds and stumbled upon broccoli sprouts. After his discovery, Buddy began to share his newfound healthy eating with everyone in the Santa Barbra area for the next 25 years. Buddy's grandson Jose Perez got together with his best friend of 20 years Pierre James and began to plan Buddy's legacy.
