Currently, field trips are not taking place at PCFMA farmers' markets due to safety precautions surrounding COVID-19.
Farmers’ markets are not just a great place to shop, they are also a great place to learn. The Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association is committed to helping a new generation of Californians learn about healthy food and how it is grown by supporting field trips to our farmers’ markets.
Field trips are available at selected weekday farmers’ markets for elementary, middle, and high school students. All field trips include a tour of the farmers’ market conducted by a trained PCFMA staff member, the opportunity to meet California farmers, and a sampling of fresh California fruits and vegetables.
PCFMA’s field trip program was developed to support California curriculum standards.
