My father settled in Pescadero in 1939 from Italy. He took up farming and in 1962 I began my own farming career with 200 acres in Half Moon Bay. In 1979 we moved the farm to its current 165-acre site. We also have a unique location in Half Moon Bay - between airport landing strips!

We’re best known for our fresh shelling and dry bean varieties including Italian Butter, cranberry, borlotti, gigante and cannelini. We also grow a wide assortment of seasonal vegetables including fava beans, Blue Lake and Romano beans, artichokes, English peas, sugar snap peas, and more. We also grow artichokes, squash, Brussels sprouts, kale, broccoli, and beets.


We used to grow produce mostly for wholesale markets but profits were low, so we began to sell directly to consumers at farmers’ markets, where we love talking with customers. We’re now in our third generation of family farming.
