Small-batch, hand crafted, European style breads are what I, Rick Kellner, founder of Feel Good, do best. I grew up on the Upper West Side of New York City where my grandfather was a baker in the 1920s.

Though I never knew my grandfather, baking was in my blood.

Years later while working in the energy efficiency business, I took a vacation that changed my life. I attended the San Francisco Baking Institute to learn more about the sourdough process. It was there that the idea for Feel Good Bakery was sparked.

I make sure that my baked goods are made with organic, non-GMO ingredients that are sourced locally and of the highest quality. Flours, nuts, fruits, and cheeses come from local vendors who share similar beliefs on quality and freshness. I believe in what our name stands for. It dictates how we treat our customers, each other, our vendors and the community.

At the farmers’ market, I enjoy talking with customers about how I bake my breads with old world techniques and new-world creativity.
