Over the years, we have found a niche growing specialty products including heirloom tomatoes and peppers. We also grow squash, melons, beans, and specialty ethnic vegetables. Hand harvesting (even walnuts) produces the best possible fruits and vegetables. Our afternoon markets benefit from same day harvest.
It is important for us to practice sustainable farming not only as a farming method, but as a way of life. Using a combination of techniques such as cover crops, biological control, and mechanical and hand labor, the ranch has improved the overall health of the land as well as bringing the best possible fruits and vegetables to market. Being a good steward to the land is a long term relationship and we also pride themselves in the long relationship that we have with our customers.
At the core of Bautista Ranch's farming lies their commitment to producing the best produce we can, at a reasonable price for our customers; this has allowed us to proudly serve at the farmers’ markets for over twenty-five years.
