PCFMA Announces its 25th Anniversary $2,500 Drawing Winner!
CONCORD, Calif. Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association (PCFMA) celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2013. Out of thousands of entries in the $2,500 enter-to-win drawing, Derrick Hage was announced as the winner on Wednesday, October 16th at the San Leandro Farmers’ Market. Derrick, from San Leandro, is a regular shopper of the market. This event was held at the last market of the 2013 season. Throughout the year, PCFMA has been celebrating its 25th anniversary with various events, including:
- Special anniversary events at nearly 50 of its markets, which included market giveaways, farmers’ photo display, kids’ activities and other market specials.
- Open house at PCFMA’s headquarters location in Concord and attendees included market sponsors, food vendors, elected officials, media and PCFMA employees. Festivities included: food vendors, door prizes, mobile farmers’ market, music, office tours, food and cooking demonstrations by Cookin’ the Market.
- PCFMA finished its celebratory events with a luncheon at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock, CA. Farmers, other food producers, elected officials and PCFMA employees were among the attendees.
