PCFMA 25th Anniversary Open House a Success!

Posted August 15, 2013

PCFMA opened its doors to the public with a very special open house at its headquarters located in Concord, California on Monday, August 12th. Hundreds of market sponsors, producers, elected officials, media, and PCFMA employees attended. Festivities included food vendors with free samples, lots of door prizes, a mobile farmers’ market, office tours, beverages and small bites. Our Cookin' the Market chef Mario Hernandez created special recipes using our very own vegetable garden produce! Caribbean steel drum music by InSteel entertained the crowd. And an anniversary photo exhibit was displayed among the food booths.

Next month, September 16th, PCFMA will host a private luncheon event at the Stanislaus County fairgrounds to celebrate with producers. Our 25th Anniversary is a chance to commend producers and showcase farmers’ markets as a whole,” said John Silviera, Director of PCFMA. Here are some photos of the festivities.
